I have been involved in education in both public schools in Colorado and international schools in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and China for 34 years. I have facilitated learners from 2nd through 9th grades and find every young person a curious and eager learner. Ultimately, my goal as a facilitator of learning is to support both the academic and social growth of all students at Central.

My husband, Mick, is also a 5th-grade teacher in Johnstown. We have an amazing daughter, Sami, who studied vocal music and women’s studies and graduated from DePauw University in May 2018. Her love of animals has led her to pursue another degree as an animal behavioral therapist. We also have an incredible son, Chance, who is the tubist for the St. Louis Symphony. His talents have led him to play with symphonies all over the world from Seattle to Iceland and Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne. Last August 9th, his wife gave birth to our first grandson, Freddy. When I’m not at school, I love spending time with family, playing games, cooking, golfing, gardening, reading, learning, and most of all being with Freddy.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Central community and look forward to another great year of learning!
