Bio
My name is Lauren Young and the 2021-2022 school year will be my 8th year in the field of Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and have been living in the Boulder County area since 2004. I started working with preschool students at Boulder Journey School in Boulder, Colorado in 2008, and most recently taught Kindergarten at Treehouse Learning in Louisville, Colorado. I have a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology and am licensed in both Early Childhood Education as well as Elementary Education. It is my hope to create a loving, exciting environment for my students to learn and develop a love for learning as well as foster an understanding and acceptance of the differences that we all have. My husband, Justin and I have been married for 15 years and have two boys; Shaka is 9 and Rainer is 5. In my spare time I love spending time with my family in the great outdoors. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.
