Preschool

Now enrolling for fall Preschool programs

Central Elementary preschool program serves 3 and 4-year-old children. Our program emphasizes kindergarten readiness by providing high quality early childhood experiences in safe, supporting and stimulating environments. Classrooms meet quality standards, state licensing requirements, and have low adult-to-child ratios. Students enrolling for preschool must be 3 or 4 years of age on or before October 1. Central Elementary is also an International Baccalaureate World School, which is included as part of our preschool curriculum!

We currently offer the following class options.

3 & 4 yr. olds    (A.M. Monday  – Friday)   8:30 -11:15 a.m.

3 & 4 yr. olds    (P.M. Monday – Friday)    12:20 –  3:00 p.m.

The three enrollment options available are listed below.

Tuition-based preschool opportunities are four-days a week, Monday-Friday, for all eligible students. All preschool classrooms are half-day mornings or afternoons. Parents and guardians must complete the tuition based application. Annual rates can be found on the SVVSD preschool website.

Special Education within St. Vrain Valley Schools identifies children ages birth to 21 who may be eligible to receive special education services. Federal and state law requires eligible children to receive free preschool once the student has turned 3 years of age. Our Preschool Program works collaboratively with the Child Find staff (District Special Education Department) in the assessment, identification and programming for children with disabilities. If a child qualifies for special education services, the Child Find team partners with parents and guardians to determine the appropriate placement and services based on each students individual needs.

The Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado program provides state-funded preschool for eligible four-year-olds. Children must be 4 years old on or before October 1 to qualify. Eligible students can receive up to 15 hours of free preschool each week. Families must complete the UPK application to determine eligibility and funding.

Little Hawk’s Program

Little Hawk’s child care for students ages 2 years 10 months to 6 is offered at Central Elementary.  Programs are open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and provide wraparound services to students enrolled in a district preschool or half-day kindergarten program.  Contact Jessyca Chermak for more information.
