Hello! My name is Sarah Hernandez, and this is my 26th year of teaching and my 19th year teaching first grade here at Central! All three of my sons attended Central, though now we have a sophomore at CO School of Mines, a junior at Longmont High School, and an eighth grader at Westview Middle School. My husband teaches at the Innovation Center here in the district, as well. I am originally from Southern California, though I attended college and played soccer at Baylor University. After beginning my teaching career through Teach For America in Compton, CA and finishing up my MA in Elementary Education, we eventually made our way out here to beautiful Colorado. I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful school community and look forward to a fabulous school year!
