My name is Lauren Young, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Central Elementary family as a preschool teacher. With a passion for nurturing young minds and a commitment to fostering a love for learning, I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and inspired.

I hold a teaching license in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education , and I have been teaching young children for 16 years. My approach to teaching is centered around play-based learning, where I encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration. I believe that each child is unique, and I am dedicated to helping them discover their strengths and interests.

In my classroom, we focus on building foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development. Through engaging activities and hands-on experiences, I aim to ignite a lifelong passion for learning in my students.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, and reading. I am excited to partner with parents and caregivers to support each child's growth and development throughout the school year.
