Bio

I was born in Kirkland Washington, but grew up in Erie, Colorado. I am a proud St. Vrain Valley School District graduate from Niwot High School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Education and Ag Business from Colorado State University. My student teaching experience was in an Ag Ed program in Iliff, Colorado. I found my calling working with elementary students during this time, and decided to make the switch to 4th grade. My first three years teaching I lived and worked in rural Sterling, Colorado. I love bringing in my agricultural and hands-on experiences into the elementary classroom. I just moved back to the Longmont area this past summer, and am so excited to be back to a place that has always felt like home. Building, crafting, skiing, and participating in triathlons are a few of my hobbies. I love learning new things and teaching others what I have learned. I knew I was going to be a teacher since I was in  4th grade! I illustrated a children’s book as a 4th grade student and still love drawing. I collect cacti plants at my house (I have over 30)! I have been married to my wonderful husband TJ since September 2020. Cooper is my lab-mix rescue dog and he’s my fur-baby. This is my 4th year in 4th grade!
