Bio
Hello Central! My name is Hillary Simonson. I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I moved to Colorado to attend CU Boulder, Go Buffs! Where I studied Psychology and Elementary Education. I began teaching at Central in 2003, as a student teacher. Since 2005 I have taught 2nd grade, kindergarten and now I am the IB Coordinator (since 2015) at Central. I have my Master’s degree in Multicultural Bilingual Education from CU Boulder and I will be completing my second Master’s degree, this December, in Educational Leadership at UC Denver.    When I’m not at school or running my kids around :), my family and I enjoy being outside hiking, biking, skiing, and paddle boarding.    I love being part of an IB school! The inquiry, collaborative, whole child approach to teaching and learning drive my work. I enjoy working with the students, staff and families. Please reach out with any questions.
