Back to School Supply Lists

All area box stores that carry school supplies have the new SVVSD school supply lists. Students will mostly have their supplies co-mingled in the classrooms, so there is no need to put the child's name on any items other than their backpack and school box. Crayons-To-Calculators free backpacks will be available after August 6. Those backpacks offer the majority of the school supplies, but not all. Of the approximately 55 million K-12 aged children in the United States, it is estimated that 90 percent are enrolled in public schools. Second only to parenting, the longstanding institution of public education will have the greatest influence on America’s future.

In Colorado, we’ve experienced an ongoing discussion around the adequacy of resources for our public schools with mixed results.

Summer Lunch Program for Students

Students and families throughout our communities will be able to access free lunches this summer. Meals will be provided to any child under the age of 18. Adults with a child will be able to eat at "no charge" until funding dollars run out.
