Toward this end, we would like to share important inclement weather information so that your family can be prepared in the event severe weather results in the closure or delay of our schools.
December 1st will begin the KINDERGARTEN registration process for the 2018-2019 School Year! The future class of 2032 will begin kindergarten in the fall of 2018. Registration for children who will be age 5 by October 1, 2018 will need: a birth certificate, immunization records and a proof of residency. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1. Full day kindergarten registration also requires a $145 deposit which is credited to the first month's tuition.
For the next few weeks, our Student Council will be offering new spirit wear items. Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, October 3; Thursday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 11 from 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. each evening. Your child should have brought home the half sheet of paper with your scheduled time on it. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend these conferences to stay informed on your child's progress thus far this school year. The staff sends out a huge THANK YOU to the parents who are providing the meals through our PTO this week!
It's time for the annual Firehawk Dash! Our wonderful PTO has organized a vairety of new ideas for this fun annual fundraiser for our school. Monday, Oct. 2 is Crazy Hair Day and Tuesday, Oct. 3 is Colorado Sports Day...then all students will receive a blue Firehawk Dash shirt to wear on Wednesday, Oct.4. October 4 is a LATE START day, so other than preschoolers, all of our students should arrive at school by 10:55 a.m.
Don't forget that Tuesday, September 12, is PICTURE DAY at Central! Students should NOT wear green as it will not show correctly with the background. We will have the photographers ready for MWF Preschool students and any siblings that wish to be photographed at 8:00 a.m. Students in the MWF preschool class can also get their pictures taken on the make up day, Wednesday, October 18, during their regular class time.

The start of a new academic year is one of my favorite times to visit our schools and talk with our students, families, teachers and staff. Our hallways are filled with a palpable optimism and drive to continue our momentum toward the highest levels of academic growth and success.
Parents~ Please watch for the first Friday Folder to come home this week with your Central student! This first folder contains VERY IMPORTANT forms that are required by the SVVSD each year. The health and emergency form, permissions, library check out, code of conduct, materials fee, and solar eclipse forms must all be completed and returned to school as quickly as possible!
