Halloween at Central

Halloween Costume Guidelines & Celebrations -Our school day will be on a normal schedule and students are not to wear costumes to school.  (Exception:  preschool only!)  Please try to keep things simple. All costumes must meet regular dress code guidelines found in the student handbook. Students should be able to get into their costumes without assistance, since they are not to wear the costumes during the school day.  We want the events to be fun for the students, parents, community members and staff.  With that in mind, please be aware that accessories of a violent nature are NOT to be part of your child’s school costume.  Fake guns, knives, etc. will be confiscated and returned to parents.  If you have ANY questions or concerns about our Halloween activities, please contact your child’s teacher or Mr. Hecocks.

Schedule for the day:
All full day kindergarten through 5th grade classes will be run under normal schedules until 1:45 p.m.  (Full day kindergarten classes will attend specials at 9:25 a.m. in order to have their celebration at the end of the day along with the rest of Central Students.)  At 1:45 students may get into their costumes.  The Halloween Parade of students will start at 2:00 p.m. in the school and end up outside on the field by about 2:10 p.m.  Following a 5th grade performance of “Thriller“, all students will return to their classrooms for parties which will begin at approximately 2:30.  Parents who choose to visit will be asked to sign in at the main office before going to classrooms or the outdoor parade.
